The concept
The project aimed to deliver a vibrant, hygienic, and easy-to-maintain washroom space that aligns with the academy’s modern learning environment. Using bold school colours and robust materials, the design focused on creating a space that is both functional and visually uplifting for students and staff.
The process
Leigh Washrooms managed a full refurbishment from strip-out to final installation. The existing washrooms were fully removed, with new plumbing and drainage systems installed to accommodate updated fixtures.
Hygienic wall cladding replaced traditional tiling, paired with non-slip safety flooring for durability and ease of cleaning. Custom solid-surface vanity troughs were fitted with sensor taps for improved hygiene and water efficiency. Vibrant yellow and blue cubicle and panel finishes were chosen to reflect the academy’s identity and create an energetic, welcoming space.
The outcome
The completed washrooms provide St Matthew Academy with a fresh, long-lasting, and student-friendly environment. The bright design enhances the school’s modern aesthetic while ensuring easy maintenance and improved hygiene standards for years to come.
