The concept
The objective for Sunbury Manor School was to deliver a sleek, durable, and easy-to-clean washroom space that enhances hygiene and comfort for students. The design needed to integrate practical layouts, vandal-resistant materials, and a professional finish suitable for a secondary school environment.
The process
Leigh Washrooms began with a full strip-out of the existing washroom, removing old tiles, plumbing, and fixtures. New hygienic wall cladding was installed to replace traditional tiling, providing a seamless and easy-to-maintain surface.
The refurbishment included custom-built vanity troughs with integrated solid-surface basins and sensor taps to promote hygiene and water efficiency. New cubicles featuring contrasting dark and light panels were installed for a contemporary aesthetic, complemented by new flooring, LED lighting, and modern stainless-steel accessories.
The outcome
The result is a bright, modern, and hard-wearing washroom that delivers both practicality and visual appeal. The updated design not only improves the user experience but also significantly reduces maintenance demands for the school — ensuring long-lasting performance in a high-traffic setting.
